Further to the TVET reform project objectives of building capacity and to upgrade the TVET insitutions and in the frame of the development of the technology faculties project , the technical committee for the curricula's development - composed of the TVET reform project international experts and the national experts from the faculty of applied arts - has been met on Monday 14 June 2010 in Traintex premises to discuss the structure, contents and the implementation of the Pattern making and the Supervisors curricula in the ready made garment department.











A two days workshop was held in the Ready Made Garment ETP (TRAINTEX) on Sunday and Monday, 27-28 June 2010 year .The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the needed preparations for the aternance training system in the coming scholar year taking into consideration the polices of the Ministry of education. The meeting was well attended by delegates from different LETPs ( El Mahala El Kobra-Port Said- 10th of Ramadan ) as well as representatives of the general guidance of technical education department –Ministry of Education. Also the meeting was attended by Engineer Saber Bayoumi, Head of Central Department for Technical Education, Ministry of Education. As result of the meeting, the following decisions are taken:
1 –Number of students applied for the alternance training has to be relevant to available number of machines in each section. 2 –The training schedule including (training duration, training plan….etc) has to be obviously published in each school. 3 - The technical secondary schools are obliged to follow the curriculum issued by the Ministry of Education as well as the training regulations approved by the project and the ministry. 4 – Ensure the books delivery to the students as well as the three parts of alternance training manuals issued by the ETP to attain the maximum benefit of the practical training 5 – The teachers have to follow-up the students' practical training in the companies. 6 - Conduct tests and assessments for students during the training process. 7 – Monitor the students' attendance during the practical training in the companies and provide the schools (Student Affairs department) with the weekly attendance lists to take the necessary procedures according to the ministry instructions in this regard. 8 – Assist the companies to solve any problem arise regarding the students.
9 – The sectoral ETP is in charge of the students' certificates at the end of each training (up to a maximum of 5 certificates) over the three year- training. The name of the company contributed in the training will be inserted in the student certificate. 10 –Tests and assessment of the students within the companies will be conducted by the sectoral ETP in collaboration with the LETPs.
